Even though Baffle Hideaway is in a secluded spot, it’s only a short walk to the local convenience store, Real Estate, Fishing supplies, takeaway shop and Bottleshop. So if you forget to bring something, the kids want an iceblock, or you want some hot chips to go with your freshly caught and cooked fish, then you can just nip to the shop.
It’s lovely to have a secluded break, but you might be looking for something else to do if you’re not a fisherman… or you want to leave the fishermen to it! Here are some options of things to do in the area:
- Play a game of golf at the Baffle Creek Golf Club
- Take a drive to Rules beach and maybe walk or drive along the beach to the mouth, do a spot of fishing and during the turtle season you may be able to watch the turtles laying and/or hatching.
- Take a round trip through Deepwater National Park to Agnes Water, 1770 and return.
